Winchester Setters

Winchester Setters are expected to be medium range (75-500 yds. in open country) and about 35-55 lbs. High head and tail, long easy ground gobbling gate that has great endurance. Nose is, of course, required to achieve the credentials listed below. Great wild bird dogs, natural retrievers and wonderful in the house and with people. Colors are likely to be all tri-color. Pups should whelp mid to late spring and available in the summer. Great time to raise a pup! Should be old enough to introduce to birds this fall and be ready to do some real work by the following season!

5 days short of 4 months old: Backed her her mother and flash pointed a single hun.
4 months and 3 days, found and pointed her first covey of huns. Backed her mom and aunt Zoe three times.
4 months and 13 days - Pointed single sharptail in CRP which was shot and she did a reverse retrieve - went to it picked it up and ran the other way with it! No problem with the gun and no problem with feathers in her mouth! All this was done with absolutely no training except some work with the gun!
